I am excited to announce the launch of the Chamber’s new Government Affairs outreach and communication tools. As of today our new advocacy website, twitter, and blog are live.
These tools provide you with an outlet dedicated exclusively to the political side of the Tucson Metro Chamber while giving you access to the most current information coming from the Government Affairs Department.
The advocacy site, www.tucsonadvocacy.com, enables the Chamber to be more effective and engage you at a deeper level. One of the most useful functions of the site is the outreach tool, voterVOICE. It is the means by which you can communicate with your local and state electeds to ensure your message and the voice of the business community is heard. In addition, the site allows you access to the Chamber’s local and legislative priorities, our current and past report cards, the ability to follow legislation impacting the business community, and many other resources to keep you informed and hold your elected officials accountable.
To keep you informed we set up a twitter account: @TucsonMetroGA. Twitter enables us to share interesting articles from respected publications and our own breaking news live from meetings at the capitol, national conferences, and local events. It is your ticket to insider information.
For more in-depth information on issues in public policy and the political realm, I have created a blog, Practical Politics, http://mypracticalpolitics.blogspot.com . Linked both to twitter and the advocacy site, Practical Politics offers you a sensible view on policy and other issues impacting the business community from the staff’s perspective.
I encourage you to take a moment and visit our new site. It was created to provide you with a reliable place to stay informed, take action, and hold elected officials accountable.
